About fillers and storing
Recently, I had some time to "optimized" my stack, I mean the source of my supplements. Let me explain :
Iherb propose a lot of things, that's great, but everything is filled with Magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide.
Ok, on the paper, it doesn't look very bad for health, it's something that we might get rid on urine.
But, what are the results of those things on the long term ? I really think that all that regimen is a lifetime commitment. In 20 years, using 20 sups' daily with magnesium stearate + silicon dioxide, what's the results on the body ? It might be inoffensive over 2, 3, 4, 5 years but over 20 years ?
And all that supplements on plastic bottles, is that something that we want ? (say the man who drinks 3 L of water daily from plastic bottle... That's something I have to improve, I know).
So, I found some places where I could get rid of those fillers, get more glass bottles, better quality stuff and prices are the same. The result is just one supplement with magnesium stearate on my whole stack.
According to you, is there any downside to this approach ? Maybe the powder will agglomerate... Ok, then what ?

Magnesium stearate is just a magnesium salt of stearic acid, a saturated fatty acid found in many foods and products, including chocolate.

Via oral administration silicon dioxide, also known as silica, is a natural compound that is found in many foods and products. It is generally safe to consume as a food additive, as studies have found no adverse effects even at very high doses.
However, it's when we inhale is very different. Inhaling silica dust can cause serious health problems, such as lung inflammation, fibrosis, and cancer.

Thanks for this CS,
Indeed, it doesn't look harmful. And I guess you use both force decades now without any issues.
In France (where I come from), there's an association who ranks additives like that and both are not rate well, it's "not recommended". That's why I wanted to avoid it.
And my sources are more local now : Germany and UK instead of the USA. I guess it will avoid icebergs to melt !

There are websites such as Dr. Mercola that before they had to insert a paywall because of censorship issues, at one time they were the #1 alternate health site on the web. Some 15 years ago his website had a huge influence on certain subjects such as stearates "being bad" based on very flimsy 'evidence' and his main way to receive revenue was, maybe still is based on his supplement sales, which were additive-free mostly or at least free of Magnesium stearate or stearates of any kind.
So this sort of message, valid or not was enough for many supplement manufacturer's to use it as a marketing tool or "benefit" as many people were okay with paying Dr. Mercola a high premium price to get their supplements without stearates.
On another matter, Dr. Mercola wrote a piece (or his staff) "Death by Distilled Water" which is patently false, however Dr. Mercola often relied on "experts" for content and some of it or his advisors were just wrong, despite having well intention.
