Possible to reduce scar tissue?
Do you guys know any safe way to reduce scar tissue?
Surgery is possible in some cases, but could damage further and will create a new scar (smaller).
Vitamin E, is used sometimes. Not that powerful.
Suggestions?

literature suggests that a "dermaroller" device can be used to reduce scar tissue. currently experimenting with the wounding process to determine it's efficacy for scars and hair regrowth using .5mm and 1.0mm needles.

Yep, dermarollers, and magnesium oil too if applied a few times a day consistently for a longer period of time.

My scar tissue is actually on my leg. Can I still use roller + magnesium?

I've heard Mederma (main brand name) works, it contains Allium Cepa (Onion) Bulb Extract. They have some similar scar gels on iherb. I wonder if it would be good for reducing fibrosis for hairloss?

I read somewhere recently that topical iodine is good at reducing scar tissue, didn't someone post a study or two?

I've seen very good results with copper peptides, derma roller and dedication over a few months make stretch marks unnoticeable. Emu oil can also be used after the copper peptides to drive it further in to the dermis.

Would this work on old surgical scars on the skin? Would topical iodine be helpful?
Appreciate any inputs.

Re: Possible to reduce scar tissue?
A couple of years ago IH recommended SSKI (tri-quench) a few times a day topically. If its a bad scar a little bit of DMSO mixed in should accelerate results.

Thanks, turbojet, i have been scouring old posts in the forum on the topic. Here're the possible topicals that people have recommended. Between Lugol's and SSKI do you think one or the other may work better on knee surgical scars?
* Lugol's with DMSO, salt loading. Iodine, Lugol's, takes a while ~a year, used twice a day.
* gotu kola herb internally
* emu oil
* dermaroller, min 1.5mm
* copper peptide, questionable acc to CS
* bromelain
* SSKI or super saturated potassium iodide.
* seabuckthorn oil, sesame oil, olive oil.
* magnesium oil
* allantoin?
* serrapeptase in most economical form
* raw honey, yoghurt, olive oil mix

Re: Possible to reduce scar tissue?
I've come across references that the essential oil of Helichrysum helps with breaking up scar tissue, anyone know anything about this?
