Gynecomastia

I have used flax seeds daily for almost a year now. I find that the defatted flax powder works better for my hair than the HMRO Lignans. The brand matters significantly. I have noticed that I have had gynecomastia over the last few months. Could flax cause this? I would thing that it would do the opposite. Would DIM assist in improving this?

I grind up a tablespoon or two daily flaxseed. I also find them much better than the swanson HMR brand. I never had sides from flax, and would not expect what you report. Are there any other possible explanation? Enterolactone from flax has a very mild estrogenic effect, which is more like anti-estrogenic since it blocks the receptor and thereby prevents other more potent estrogens.

Do you guys know of any good products to help get rid of gynecomastia of this kind?

It could have been that I was taking DHEA and that it was converting into estrogen. Maybe Chrysin or DIM would help.

I have not taken DHEA in about a month. I should add that if you have serious adrenal fatigue where you are underproducing on cortisol, then you should not take DHEA as it lowers cortisol. I have definitely noticed the difference over the last couple of weeks.

For Gyno you can buy a topical DHT gel or cream. That would work pretty well.

Topical DHT looks really expensive. Is there a cheaper source? Also, is there a risk of increased hair loss with its use?

rjfnyu - There's probably at least some risk for increased hair loss, but it can be a temporary means to an end.

If I had to do this, I'd take Pueraria Mirifica internally and topically.

WHy would a topical DHT cream work?

I dont really have Gynecomastia, but i do have stubborn chest fat they never seems to go away no matter how thin i get.

Has anyone noticed a decrease in chest fat from taking Turmeric?
