Re: Why am I losing mass amounts of hair around my ears
I also lost hair immediately after taking one drop of Lugol's solution. That kick started my hair loss, which was worsened by soil-based probiotics and vitamin D. I think some of us are way more sensitive to supplements than other people. Because of what? I really don't know. It can be attributed to anything really. My main suspects are genetics and early exposure to toxin during childhood. I find it best to use supplements in a conservative manner since my body overreacts to majority of the protocols.

Every substance you do, you wish to go slow to build up and prepare the system for what's coming. The same when you stop using megadoses, for example in reverse. Stop using megadoses of vitamin C has been shown to produce inflammed like state...
Iodine wont hurt you, but (you) using it improperly, probably will do it. Start mcg to build yourself up ready to mg...

Most definitely not true. I started with 75 mcg of iodine, moved to 150 mcg, then to 325 mcg, and finally to 1 drop of Lugol's. This happened in the course of two months, and even then I was reacting very negatively. And yes, I was taking selenium 200 mcg to 400 mcg per day with iodine.
As CS always mentions, everybody's genetic profile is very different. What may work for most people may not work for some. Iodine is touted as magic potion on the web, but I've read a lot of horror stories as well. There is never one size fits all solutions when it comes to hair loss.
