Losing hair above ears

Hey guys
Iv only noticed recently (and i dont know how because its alot worse than on top!) that my hair is thinning above my ears and on the nape of my neck.
After searching the web a little it seems that this is something that woman have to deal with more than men (i am male), maybe im wrong-does anyone else know anything about this?
Also what do folks here think about demodex? I know both jdp and creep on regrowth think they play a big part in mpb and i could swear that since iv been using sbt soap iv seen improvements on top,just not sure about the sides.

MPB can make you thin on the sides of the head as well (contrary to common belief).
