I have read in a bunch of places that both of these have either dht-inbiiting or anti androgren abilities. Wondering if anyone has tried them out as a topical?

danmrtini,

as far as I know, a lot of guys tried out tea tree oil against itching and
danfruffed scalps. Finally - from my point of view - tea tree oil oil isn't strong enough
to fight itching and dandruffed scalps.

Yes, I've used lavender extensively. This applied to a damp scalp will provide a significant anti-dht boost in the form of what I believe is bad estrogen, but this topical is tolerable.

Lavender oil is more cosmetic and subtle, less systematic, penetrating, thus the term aromatherapy.

Temples and hairline results with no estrogenic side effects. That is awesome. Just using essential oil dropper? What brand(s) if you don't mind.

The result has not been regrowth, rather it has been preservation and maintaining hair quality.

Topical lavender made me dizzy on occasion, it has sedative properties.

It was one of the very first things I did, boiling lavender, rosemary and ginger root together for 10 mins .. It was an aqua extract. It worked pretty well on the crown. It caused a shed that lasted a week, but my scalp felt great so I didnt worry and kept using it.
