Doctor prescribed Zopliclone for sleep (ex finesteride user)
I've been really struggling to get a proper sleep recently, waking up several times, and have bad anxiety, paranoia, mood swings and very bad digestion (coated tongue, bloating etc), which I know is linked.
The doctors thoughts is that a week of this medication will help reset my sleeping patterns and give me some rest allowing the body to heal.
I'm tackling the digestion route with a better diet, HCL tablets, and Kefir - but I don't know which which is causing the issues, the lack of restorative sleep causing the anxiety and digestion issues, or the other way round.
Its known that finesteride damage causes neuroendocrine damage, which I took for several years, but does anyone have any ideas how I might be able to reset this?
I've tried theanine, magnesium, etc etc etc.
Happy to try the drug route to be honest as I'm getting pretty desperate.

Since you're willing to try those drugs there's a safer thing to try first.
Buy some pregnenolone powder. And take 2x1/4(2 times a quarter) teaspoons of it spaced 2 hours apart. It made me really sleepy, I was out by 10 pm and slept for nearly 10 hours. Not sure how regularly you'd want to use it as it is a hormone and neurosteroid after all, but in the short term I think it could be helpful.
By the way, finasteride reduces the amount of allopregnanolone in the brain and spinal fluid, who is a metabolite of pregnenolone and important for brain function. Since you are an ex finasteride user this is another reason why pregnenolone could be helpful.
