IH do you know anything about PowerPlates (whole body vibration)?

They just put these machines in the gym I go to. They are called Power Plates and it's a whole body vibration technology. I'm wondering if you knew if it was something worthwhile or some fad/scam. Would it have the same effect as rebounding perhaps with the whole body vibration thing? http://www.powerplate.com/us/

Yes, I have. The research is impressive and what's nice about these is that they offer significant weight loss and bone strength at the same time.

I guess I should pretty excited I have 24/7 access to one now. I go to a fancy gym and they just plopped one down in the middle of the weight lifting floor. I did some squats on it yesterday. I'll try to get the 10 mins 3x a week going and report back if I see anything interesting happening.

wouldn't driving a 20+ years old beaten up race car with low aspect ratio tyres have the same results?

Only if you were able to stand on it with two feet for 15 minutes three times per week.
