Scalp exercises Empty Scalp exercises

Post  Amaranthaceae Sun Jul 05, 2009 10:07 pm

Anyone doing these?

I tried just for fun and amazingly the next day I had already improved the ability several times.

I've read about them but never tried doing them.. Years ago I stumbled upon a web site of a 70+ year old guy who had still black hair who was claiming that he achieved regrowth with scalp exercises.

Scalp exercises Empty Re: Scalp exercises

I have for a very long time mainly because I use the flex effect facial exercises and I just do the scalp exercises at the same time out of habit.

I've just recently added occluding (spelling?) with a blood pressure cuff like some of the guys at regrowth. So far, I can say occluding with a blood pressure cuff is a much superior form of scalp exercises than without it.

FWIW, I remember Lava212 mentioning something about increased oxygen ... increased oxygen, "on paper", may give LLLT even better results.

jdp..elaborate the blood pressure cuff routine please. Sounds interesting. I find the regular scalp exercise a bit hard to do and it also wrinkles my for head which I disslike. Any hints? Suspect

Hey Misirlou,

Here is the link regarding occlusion training

http://www.regrowth.com/hairloss-forums/viewthread.cfm?f=1&t=23900

Basically, the blood pressure cuff around your head you'll get extremely sore in about 5 minutes vs 50 minutes without it.

About wrinkles, make sure you do the scalp exercises or facial exercises after you get out of the shower. You shouldn't get any wrinkles that way. Tom Hagerty recommends splashing water on your face or putting some lotion on before doing your exercises. But again, IMO, it's much better if you do the exercises after your shower.

In fact, eventually, "deep" wrinkles will almost completely disappear. The best way to describe it is works similiar to botux, IME. The muscles on your forhead will completely relax and thus the wrinkles will almost completely disappear. Same with facial exercises. If you do the exercises too much, then it can make your face look too puffed out and overworked. If you look at the photos of Tom Hagerty on his site you can start to tell that his muscles are almost too overworked. I've been there several times before. Reducing how often you do the scalp exercises/ facial exercises will reverse this.

hope this helps

I agree with jdp that occlusion is much more effective for scalp exercises. I have bee using a tensor bandage instead of a blood pressure cuff and find this to be effective. so much so that I am using it in my entire exercise regime.

When doing the exercise correctly you should never frown (bring the eyebrows down)

Can anyone post a link to a video on youtube/other site that clearly shows how to perform these scalp exercises?

Shame on Tom Hagerty trying to make a quick buck haha.

hi all,

i been doing hairloss reversible routine for a few months. i have to admit, i started out i could not move my ears..but 2 weeks later my gosh i could move my ears!! i never in my life have ever thought i could do it. it took about 2 weeks of diligent practice. it was very very difficult when i first started.

so when i get time...on a bus or subway..i just do it. i'm not sure its helping or anything, but i think its making my face look tighter. people say i look more chiselled and younger?? who knows! the idea of working muscles anywhere in my body is always a good one for me!

i just hope it helps my hair!

I know this is an old thread, but it's still relevant

Still looking for a video on YouTube or somewhere on the proper way to do the exercise. I think I'm doing it right but with no improvement I need some guidance. I asked Tom Hagerty to post a video online but to no avail.
