Success with Scalp Massage
This guy writes of his success regrowing hair doing scalp massage, with photos. He ate a paleo diet as well.
His hair does look good from the limited evidence--wish he would include a photo of himself from the front as well as from overhead.
He does headstands too, but is not sure they helped. My guess is the combination did help. .

Damn, his hair looks fricking amazing here:

Wish there were some DT videos to watch. I never feel like I'm doing it right.

But he's still wearing a hat in the header pic at the top of the page! I'll be more impressed when he poses hat-less with amazing hair.

Re: Success with Scalp Massage
I personally don't believe the guy is legit, esp judging on the amount of baldness DT has caused others (as i knew it would). I think it's a marketing ploy to direct a shitload of traffic to his site, and buy his albums. This guy organized a group dedicated to defeating the stock market with the hopes of getting mega rich, so I think it's fair to say he's got a bit of a mania for money and is savvy to all the little get-rich-quick tricks of the trade. You think he'd get as much traffic if he said he was taking fin / min? I sure don't. A free and revolutionary "baldness cure" OTOH would. While he's updating his blog, people are staying tuned and exploring his site, along with his albums and whatever else he has in his "online store".
I don't trust any bullshit artists over the internet, period. You saw how Complexx defended this method to the death, but disappeared when I foiled his lying ass. These are the lengths these affiliate marketing idiots will go to in order to try make some spare change at the expense of the gullible and the desperate.
Look at Roddy as another example... zero evidence of any hairloss (as is evident by all of his before and after pics), yet still has the nerve to claim he was balding for many years. I'm still waiting for him to silence me on that one, but he also took off when I pointed out the pink elephant in the corner.

What's DT?
I don't get the impression that he's bullshitting. He writes on a number of subjects, is liberal and
very concerned with social change. But as he has a family, naturally he would not be amiss to bringing in some
money from the time and effort he puts into his blog.

Re: Success with Scalp Massage
I been massaging my scalp for about 2 years on and off. Recently I was doing it consistently for 3 weeks to a month. I used Coconut Oil and Aloe Vera, but the Aloe Vera I would use I would leave out and the gel would be clear colored or mixed with Brown/black in the gel. I put the Aloe vera on my head/neck and face. I noticed it caused my neck to get hot and burn as well as my eye lids and the top of my scalp. Few days ago I looked at the back of my scalp with my other mirror and notice 5 lines on the back of my scalp that were dark. They are not wrinkles, put when I massage my head I guess some of the coloring of the Aloe Vera (from the plant) got in those pores where my head was being massaged the most. They faded away a little, but so I have these thick creases running down the back of my scalp now a dark purplish color. The Aloe Vera plant also stained my counter, so I stopped using it and waiting for this possible allergic reaction to stop, the skin is dry on this streaks and crusty.

I skimmed through his site, where is he selling stuff? Selling things does not make everyone a vulture. I'll check his site out more when I have more time.
I kind of agree with his theory that hair loss is mostly Calcification and Fibrosis

You're entitled to your opinion, my opinion is, he's savvy on drawing in custom. Along with plugging Rob's site on his blog, he mentions that Rob asked him to try this out, but I don't believe for a single moment that kid (Rob) was ever going bald. He even PM'd me a year or so back to ask me if he could include my material in the ebook he was writing... so much for DT curing his decade long baldness problem within seven months.
It's utterly ludicrous that he finds the time to write an ebook and create a video, yet couldn't even be bothered recording a photo / video log showing his miraculous regrowth. And let's not forget, Mr Rob spent many years working as a market researcher, so he obviously knows that baldness is big business. There's way too much shadiness enshrouding this DT method for me to be convinced of it's supposed authenticity. Way too much.
Also @Delphine, it doesn't matter whether the guy makes out if he is a philanthropist who is concerned about social change or not, IMO, it could likely be just another sly attempt to create considerable interest and draw in potential customers. When a guy wants sex off a woman he's usually Mr White Knight who opens doors and lays down the red carpet, just so he can get some... typical disarm with charm tactic. As pointed out, Moyer was dedicated to breaking the stock market with a club which he personally organized, so he's obviously very money minded.
On his blog a female replied: "I’ve been doing the technique for almost four months. If anything it had only has only gotten thinner. I wonder if it only works for dudes. I’m going to stick with it and hope for the best."
^^No shit it did, and will continue to do so.
BTW Here's just a few of the albums / singles that Moyer guy is selling (convenient that they are advertised next to his hair loss blog, too):

I agree with you on him not recording his progress part. Him selling things for 99 cent or 69 cents can be suspicious, but the price is so small that could be used to help pay for the website.

Maybe, maybe not... maybe he is trying to generate enough interest in his site / music to make himself a decent amount of money to pay for his fin / minox. Who knows?
I'm not buying his dance music or into DT either way.

Hmm, I was skeptical but his photos now I gotta say definitely show an increase in hair. I may be starting up another DT cycle soon, but less extreme than I was before.

Re: Success with Scalp Massage
I ended up sacking off DT. I keep my head buzzed right down (grade 1) and DT was making my scalp all wrinkly and weird. If I'm gonna go bald I don't want a head like a nutsack too. (Did 6 months which prob wasn't long enough but no positive results from that)

Dt doesn't work, look how dead the Dt thread is now. The guy said he only did dt for 5 mins to 10 mins a day, and got that kind of results... I don't believe any of it.

Yeah, why can't they give us a straight answer? Anyway, how is scalp massage about this mysterious DT?

Delphine, I am surprised you don't know DT (Detumescence Therapy)
https://immortalhair.forumotion.com/t10871p885-detumescence-therapy-dedicated-volunteers-wanted
The thread was split 3 or 4 times of 60+ pages each. It has been drawn out and almost seen now as a hack method. It seemed okay at first, but I don't believe it to be the case. The basics are kneading and massaging your scalp roughly to get blood flow and reduce swelling.
The guy you posted about was also mentioned and not too many people thought too much about it.

Thanks. I don't check out everything here.
It seems to be somewhat akin to Christopher Walken's hair pulling that he claims has helped him keep his thick locks. And JFK would request hair pulling when he got massages.
They are both good examples of how it can work. I used to do it and keep meaning to start up again...tomorrow for sure
I started a thread about this previously: https://immortalhair.forumotion.com/t6898-how-christopher-walken-keeps-his-hair
Anyway, I still have a hard time believing that J.D. Moyer is running a scam with his hair improvement posts. I did suggest to him that he change his
header photo at his page (where he's wearing a hat). I should think he'd want to show off his success...

Re: Success with Scalp Massage
If it helps you at any case, I am 25, have a receding hairline and have tried many, many things. I have been doing DT for over a year now and can attest to it's ability to reduce hard spots and swelling in the scalp. It feels good after a while, so why not? Does it create healthy environment for hair? Yes, I believe it may help, yet hair loss is a multifactorial approach for most people (cannot be so sure with females, sorry ). I would assume it would help you if you were to have a good diet, proper supplements, lifestyle, etc. You need everything right to even start growing hair.
