Walmart, Costco etc offers a myriad of juice brands. As most of us know, those products are perhaps not as healthy as being promoted, to say the least. My question is, does these pasteurized, high-suger, low-everything-else juices really contain active nutrients such as vitamin C, and if so, at what levels? Wouldn't the temperature treatment and oxygen kill off most of the vit c?

Squeezing out the fruit juice from an orange results in a juice filled with vitamin C. Fine. But isn't it true that this vitamin C needs to be consumed instantly in order not to lose potency? If this is the case, only traces of vitamin C would be found in pre-squeezed available fruit juices rendering it even more useless.

One thing about fibers. Are fibers found in fruits generally deprived of there positive attributes when being knifed over and over again in a blender? If so, home-made fruit juices would not be that healthy either.

Many plants are grown on poor soils, so both vitamin and mineral contents are lower than they are supposed to be. Sulfur is particularly bereft.

Then with those 'values' added such as pasteurization further diminish the value.

However, if one presses their own juice, they are at least getting high quality water. Then an issue of organic, since those fibers trapped the pesticides, another thing to take in to account.

Yous till get the fiber so long as you eat the whole fruit, but not if you juice it. Fiber isn't the same as "fibers". It doesn't have to be intact when it goes in to give benefits.

I also remember posting something here a while back about how most juices (even "fresh organic" and ESPECIALLY orange juices Ex: simply orange) are actually very old and are reconstituted before being bottled and shipped. Unless you see the fruit they are making it from and know for a fact it's being made on site it is likely not what you think.

Just drink water and eat fruit, or make your own juices, otherwise it's a waste of time IMO unless you're just looking for flavour sensations.

I'm not sure which ingredient it is since it has maitake, camu powder, astragulus and maybe a few others but I always find C-boost very immune boosting.
