CausticSymmetry, thank you for clarifying this oppinion. The PUFAs are very sensitive to light, heat and air, so the question of quality obviously should not be ignored. The seeds are fairly stable, and make a good source for fresh oil.

>> It's not an easy question to answer in so few words....but in short, most essential minerals are needed (not just a few isolated ones). Zinc has a different uses...but for everyday use 15 mg. (Gluconate is fine).

NOW's Zinc Picolinate comes in 50mg pills and I've been taking 4 of them a day so 200mg because I suspect Zinc deficiency plus I have candida. Any risks with that?

Copper deficiency and wasting your money for starters, way too much.

I'm taking copper too and zinc isn't that expensive - about $8 for a month's supply. CS said somewhere that short term 300mg doses are okay. How long is short term? I don't know. Also, I think zinc is underrated here especially since we now know how much immune system plays into this. It's very relevant for those with candida.

To me, this looks like a better product than the 40,000 Volts product.  Besides the greater sodium content, I like that there is less magnesium.

CF - I love the higher sodium content, the only concern about that product is that it has lower levels of magnesium and potassium.

Here's a link for comparison purposes.

CS, I like the fact it has lower magnesium, as my multivitamin has 500 mg of it, plus I take another 130 mg in the middle of the day (when taking 100 mg of calcium.)  Besides, it is the oxide variety, so isn't it a good thing that there is less, meaning you can consume more magnesium (via supplements) of a preferred form of magnesium? (e.g. you recommend magnesium citrate)

I see what you're saying, good point. What I did was I stopped taking the standard magnesium and have replaced it with the "40,000 volts."
