Thin hair after removal of hair extensions
A common thought among women, when they first have their hair extensions removed, is that there hair has thinned. While, it can be the case that some thinning can occur, there are other factors that need to be considered first and things that are overlooked.
Shedding of the natural hair
The first complaint, that some women have immediately after their extensions are removed, especially during washing, is a lot of their natural hair comes out. Which is usually the case, but there’s a natural reason for this occurrence, so don’t worry you’re not going to go bald. What happens is the hair extensions are attached to your natural hair and after time your hair will shed, but because your hair is attached it doesn’t come out naturally and ends up staying put. Then when your hair extensions are removed and you wash your hair, all that built up hair comes loose and you think that you have thinned out and you’re going bald, when it’s just the natural process of your hair coming out in one go, rather than a usual, steady unnoticeable, occurrence.
Loss of the hair extensions
When you look at your hair after your hair extensions have been removed, you have to bear in mind that you were carrying around a large chunk of hair, for a few months. Once that’s gone, it’s going to be very noticeable. It’s going to look like you have less volume and therefore seem thinner, but it’s not because you have thinned, it’s just the perception of your hair has suddenly changed and you’re not use to the way It looks now.
Some hair loss
There is a chance that the extensions have pulled out some of your natural hair, that wasn’t shedding. This can happen because your natural hair has shed and the extensions are attached to less hair over time, this means that more of the weight of the extensions pulls on a smaller amount of your natural hair and can result in some hair loss, but this will only really happen in a significant way if you leave your hair extensions in too long, so by taken them out earlier this can be, almost, completely avoided.
Bad stylist
The most damage to your hair will be done when your hair extensions are removed. If this isn’t done in a professional way, especially with more tricky methods of extensions, like bonded or braided, then you can suffer thinning and hair loss, so keep this in mind when you pick out your stylist and make sure they have a good reputation and lots of experience.
All things considered
If you take everything that has been mentioned into consideration, then it’s probably likely that a combination of some or all of these things is why you think you have thinning of your hair or the reason that some thinning has happened. If you’re not happy with the way things turn out after your hair extensions, we would recommend using a different stylist or using a different type of hair extension method.www.lilyhairextensions.com
