Oximeter reading, hair loss connection? Empty Oximeter reading, hair loss connection?

I recently had to go to my doctor due to a very bad flu, and during checkup he put a device on my finger which I think was called an oximeter. It basically reads the amount of oxygen in the blood. He said the result wasn't bad, but not too good either, but he assumed it was due to the flu.

This later got me thinking, are my oxygen levels in the blood always low? What if it is like this for most hair loss sufferers? Has anyone had their blood oxygen levels checked with an oximeter, and could there be connection with hair loss?

Perhaps it would be good to make some sort of research amongst ourselves to have ourselves checked for this, and perhaps focus on resolving this if it is an issue.

There is a good chance this may be something people with MPB share.

It has been shown that even the thick, hair bearing areas outside the MPB zone of guys with MPB there is 20% or so less oxygen in the scalp tissue than in the same areas of those without MPB

I personally own one of those meters for many years and I never noticed a change when I had active hair loss and when I didn't.

IMO, the hypoxia is localized to the scalp where the end result of MPB is calcification. IMO, it's not an actual origin for hair loss but is an end result of hair loss.

This doesn't mean that you won't get results by increasing oxygenation in the scalp and lymphatic drainage but that one should focus on other factors as well on why there is less oxygen to begin with.

I hope that makes sense.
