Brushing? Vigorous towel drying? Empty Brushing? Vigorous towel drying?

Hi, I been reading some posts that claim you can regrow hair by rubbing a towel on receding temples or other balding/thinning areas of the head. Also in regards to brushing with a boar bristle brush. I'm not too sure thats great, because I got a military style brush from kentbrushes.com and all it did was make my hair greasy and I felt little to no stimulation to my scalp. I always thought being gentle with your hair would be better if you had hair loss and that you should pat your hair dry with a towel after washing and let it dry naturally rather than vigorously rubbing which could cause more hair fall. And as for a brushing with a boar bristle brush would a wide tooth wooden comb not be more suitable. Why do people on this forum do these sort of methods? Would it make you loose a lot more hair quicker?

Hey bud,

You're going to need a good boar bristle brush (not a really cheap one), and nothing really replaces that. Certainly not hard-toothed combs.

As for the towel...that's something you're welcome to try, but the jury is still out on its efficacy! I am a big boar bristle brush proponent though...particularly before applying a topical.

A Question: Can dermaroller achieve same or even better results than brushing/combing etc.?

do you really need a Boar brush? I have been brushing for a few weeks now and it seems my hair is thickening up a little. It could be my imagination I suppose. But does a Boar bristle brush really work better?

I only started using a BBB a week ago. I'm going to go to let you know now a boar bristle brush is more intensive and really stimulates the scalp, that being said it hurt likes shit. I say if you feel it more though its probably working better.

I've been using a scalp massage brush for a while and I like it.

I actually have two, one for each hand. I can brush/massage my scalp much quicker that way.

What I do is vigorously brush with these for about 5 mins, then vigorously towel for 5 mins.

These are not the exact brushes that I use, but they look similar:

http://www.amazon.com/Shampoo-Scalp-Massage-Brush--Brush/dp/B0002RPTX4/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1341214599&sr=8-11&keywords=scalp+massager

I actually picked my up from a local store and they cost $1.50 each.

I was wondering if I'd lost sensitivity in my scalp, as it used to hurt like shit and now there is absolutely no discomfort. And although a cold shower still makes my dick shrivel, it doesn't feel that cold on my head anymore.
