Could be possible you have too much alpha reductase and or aromatase activity lowering your T.

Wouldn't reductase still maintain a high total T though? Doesn't total T account for DHT, or no?

I don't believe so. Possible to see high free T and dht but low total T, but that could be a shbg issue.
