Hip fracture in 90+ person - now what?
Happened recently, surgery is now being performed. If she survives and gets back to "life", what kind of supplements should I recommend?
Of course, vitamin D3 is mandatory. I know that she is on some kind of mainstream calcium supplement since a year or two, but I doubt it works.
Suggestions are appreciated.

Re: Hip fracture in 90+ person - now what?
i seem to recall reading somewhere calcium supplementation for osteoarthritis isnt much help after a certain age because the body is robbing bones of calcium as a ph buffer
blood ph has to be 7.4, so its a major priority of the body to buffer it if its low.
therefore perhaps a good mineral supplement, would help to keep blood ph alkaline, and reduce the calcium robbed from bones.
its a safe thing to try anyway.

In this order IMO, she can try magnesium oil, K2 MK4 and/or K2 MK7, boron.
For the boron, I'd personally go with Osteoboron.
