Interesting and a concept dealt heavily in science fiction. Many sci-fi authors predicted this one as well as many other advances and potentials. I think there are many things that are possible that science has negatively labeled anything at first deemed infeasible or dangerous. . Another example is the ability for group consciousness to affect desired events or outcomes(labeled ESP or telepathy in some circles). Noetic Science explores these topics and conducts studies to measure outcomes. This branch is discussed in Dan Brown's new novel "The Lost Symbol".(must read for everyone). I think this is a branch that the mainstream science and governments of the world would like to extinguish as it shows a powerful side of ourselves with great potential.

DM5, there are a lot of studies showing prayer doesn't work.

Most "supernatural" studies are never peer reviewed.

i thought DM5 was referring more to the same stuff Systemic Constellations are all about... that stuff makes me really uncomfortable, especially when you think about invisible loyalties. they sound like a grudge to me.

I don't put blind faith in mainstream science or government institutions as they are often biased and constricted to favored outcomes. That being said IONS conducts studies into this phenomenon as per the link I gave above. What I am referring to and what IONS seems to validate, are concepts put forth by Eastern Philosphies/Religions that offer multidimensional exploration of the self and group consciousness. The concept that as matter fueled by energy we vibrate within a certain frequency range. Shamans, yogis, buddhists and Kabbalists have used these methods for certuries to connect to higher self(universal self) thru psychedlic experience or meditation.

On a more physical and observational level, I think this delves into electromagnetic fields and the like. Aura is something that can be seen in photo or video evidencing this energy. When that range is raised thru focused meditation and the likes we tap into a higher source energy that flows thru everything(universal). I am not saying mainstream science is perfect, but putting faith into studies that have no peer review to establish validity/reliability is silly.

If something like aura or group consciousness to effect outcome could be proven - someone would have claimed jame's randi's million dollar challenge. Fact is, this kind of stuff can never be reproduced or be subjected to scientific scrutiny beyond anectdotal evidence.

If there were no validity to these claims.......why would an organization be founded and funded to research this. These aren't new concepts but claims that have been made for eons and now an organization is fnally backing this up. Why would that be do you think?

We'll have to agree to disagree. Plenty of organizations that do "research" are well funded. Just because an organization is founded and funded does add anything to its probative value. Many organizations have conducted "studies" based on claims that have been around for a long time. They are also quacks. Scientology is well researched by scientologists and well funded by them also. That doesn't mean I believe in scientology or take anything they say with a grain of salt.

ex) The whole idea of telepathy/telekineses has been around forever. Guess what, every time someone has claimed they can prove it, they fail under scientific scrutiny.

I have done much research and been around various cultures and have a wealth of experiential knowledge. The beleif by the mainstream that some concepts would better be served to be swept under the mattress than explored is the governing force. Again, I don't put blind faith in everything that is spoonfed to me by my government, media, fanatical religious groups or other "authorities". But since you were asking for peer reviewed sources.....see below. If you do some research, you will find all you need.

The only thing that exists is what you see in front of you. Nothing out of the ordinary is real. I disagree and You win! If you are that interested in calling it nonsense.....prove it or the lack.

Anyway, there is an organization called IONS that is dedicated to researching this phenomena. I did notice on their website that much is ongoing study wise now. But preliminary findings seem to support the concept that group consciousness can affect desired outcomes. Sorry to hijack your post, MagickGro. Interesting paper on teleportation.
