Happy thanksgiving! How'd you eat?
I binged on everything in sight for well over 24 hours straight, only stopping to sleep and take a short walk. I ate multiple types of pie, refined carbs, cookies, ice cream, lasagna, mashed potatoes, etc...
HELP ME!! Who's got some great THanksGiving detox recipes? I'm thinking of doing the master cleanse tomorrow...
My hair and scalp are now in pretty bad condition and will prob be worse come morning. Dandruff is out of control.
How'd everyone else eat?

Re: Happy thanksgiving! How'd you eat?
Thanks to this forum, I'm actually a little afraid of this holiday now
I ate pretty much lots of everything... dinner rolls... pies... aka more gluten and casein than I've ingested in the last month total. Though my taste buds are very happy, my head isn't. I have itching right along the hairline meaning something's not agreeing with the feast. An epic detox sounds wonderful, where do we start?
I plan on loading with a double-dose of mag oil, just to replenish the reserves from all the anti-nutrients, and do some extra exercise not only for the weight component, but to keep insulin working efficiently since there was sooo much sugar involved. Maybe a few extra drops of Lugol's as well.
(it's one day a year... we can afford to indulge for a day....right?)

I won't lie -- I also indulged during the epic Thanksgiving meal. I took taurine, benfotiamine, and a host of other supplements, however, to buffer the damage.
Re: detox, I took humifulvate and iodine and drank lots of mineral water. Interestingly, I felt great the day after thanksgiving.

Re: Happy thanksgiving! How'd you eat?
ive been taking a ton of supp's to counteract. it would have been fine if i had just stuck with the original meal and dessert, but i went back every half hour for the next day straight. it was a gluttonous display.
more sugar than in the the last month? prob the last year for me lol...
humifulvate sounds like a good idea. im gonna do the extra mag too. prob take a lot of taurine also. i wonder how well the iodine would work...

Re: Happy thanksgiving! How'd you eat?
I still take in quite a bit of fructose regularly so the massive sugar load didn't really hit me as hard.
Only reason I decided on iodine was the fact that there was probably quite of bit of fresh heavy metals in the meal... most of our stuff was canned, etc. Basically bind them while their circulating!
All this probably puts quite a strain on the liver... maybe a liver detox is in order?? Especially if we enjoy our pies!
