Na-RLA and chest aches?
I think it may have given me chest ache. I've stopped it for the last few days and my chest aches have virtually gone. Unless it was stress related, which is possible. Anyone else had chest aches from RLA?

Hoople - While this effect is rare, it does happen. I have heard of some supplements helping, it such as Sam-E, or by insuring it is taken with a meal (if that helps).
Or it may indicate an acid insufficiency (lack of enough stomach acid).

CS is it true that NA-RALA should be taken with another supplement (I can't remember which) due to its ability to move mercury around the body and potentially into the brain?
I am notoriously sensitive to supplements/meds/vitamins

CS do you know how it may be causing chest aches, other than lack of stomach acid? Thanks

Hoople - Unfortunately, there's virtually no data on this. It's also possible that it is the acetyl l-carnitine (assuming you are using that as well).

Re: Na-RLA and chest aches?
I'm not using Acetyl carnitine due to it increasing Acetyl Choline, Nardil antagonises Acetyl Choline release, as do a lot of antidepressants, which surprised me actually. However, I think its due to the possible excitatory effects of Acetyl Choline.

What is your opinion on high doses of Mg antagonising the NMDA receptor, therefore acting as a mood stabiliser in those who need it, but also lowering the abiliity to remember and learn (glutamate release is associated with learning). Not sure if you know about neuroscience as well as everything else?!

Re: Na-RLA and chest aches?
Hoople - Magnesium is very important for this. I would say, essential. It's also important for asthmatics because these receptors are also located in the lungs, and glutamate will cause a spasm in the lungs (a magnesium IV will stop it quickly).
