How many can you have a day?? I generally have handful of berries or an apple, 1-2 clementines, 1-2 bananas throughout the day with at-least 5-10 dates and figs.

Any thoughts?

This besides the caveman diet which I am successfully following. Plus I workout rigorously and have relatively very low body fat. Around 8-9%.

Nocturnalhorse - How much one can eat per day without negative effects depends on their metabolics. The most accurate way to find out is to test your triglyceride levels and glucose levels. If triglycerides are over a 100, would be cautious, and if glucose is above 85, would also be careful.

Another way to possibly gauge this is an oxidation test. 50 mg of regular niacin (not flush free). If you're a faster oxidizer, you'll feel no effect from it. If you're a medium oxidizer, you'll feel a mild effect from it, and if you're a slow oxidizer you'll feel a potent effect from it in terms of a niacin flush.

Slow oxidizers can eat all the fruit they want, no problem. Medium can eat a decent amount. Faster oxidizers can only eat a limited amount.

Wow CS, what a great way to find out which type you are! I've always flushed badly from Niacin,
even after a heavy meal. I've gotten used to it and rather enjoy it now. So I'm a slow oxidizer. . .

I thought it was the opposite! I thought if you got a big flush you should be eating mostly animal protein and low carb vegetables etc.
