Folligen Copper peptides
Hi CS and all,
I got a pretty good recommendation from Ataman about Folligen.
I went online and did some research and it seems copper peptides in folligen can help make vellus hairs into healthy terminal hair?
Can anyone comment or share experiences???
Thank you very much!!

Re: Folligen Copper peptides
I've used cp's for around 16 months now. It has helped turn some hair terminal, and created a little peach fuzz, nothing amazing like, but a good addition to an all round regimen.

Re: Folligen Copper peptides
I've been using copper peptide (folligen) for over a year and feel that it's beneficial (nothing spectacular but helpful). They are supposed to be anti-inflammatory and increase super oxide dismutase. What are CS's thoughts on topical copper peptides?

Re: Folligen Copper peptides
baller234 - Does copper peptides work? Yes, to some extent, the only problem is, it's limited to topical use. Taking GliSODin would provide full body SOD. When copper peptides were invented, GliSODin did not exist.
Value wise, it's not a good return on the investment relative to what I've heard about it over the years.

Heya, I too was having a look at Folligen as I was basically thinking "wow a topical antioxidant!" lol
However of course if simply increasing systemic levels of SOD has a better or even just equal effect then I will definitely do that instead! Are we sure it's as strong though?

Would S.O.D. be a good alternative to glisoden? http://www.iherb.com/Source-Naturals-S-O-D-2000-Units-90-Tablets/1506?at=0
Also would glisoden have the same effect if used topically?

Sorry couldn't resist! lol
And yeah that S.O.D. supplement sounds good! Question is I think which is more bioactive (not including Spear of Destiny of course! ^_^ )

Re: Folligen Copper peptides
Some people use copper peptides to thicken facial hair. This is not something that internal GliSODen could do, so that leads me to believe that copper peptides are still beneficial.

Re: Folligen Copper peptides
For anyone that'sm used folligen SOD, do you get any kind of burning sensation after applying? I've tried it a few times and stopped due to that pain. It's like a burn/pinch sort of.

Not really. I used to have a deep burning/itching sensation whenever I applied any topical, never figured out what was causing it but it seemed to have gone away on its own. Maybe try diluting it 50/50 with distilled water, and add some aloe or emu oil.

Re: Folligen Copper peptides
The burning sensation means it's to strong for your scalp in pure form, water it down as suggested above, and then over time your scalp adjusts to it.
That's what is recommended on the skin bioogy website.
