Topical Question Empty Topical Question

Post  Guest Sat Sep 12, 2009 7:56 am

For topicals, what ideally is being used effectively? I was using this shampoo and was wondering if any ingredients may be bad for my hair:
Jojoba oil, arnica, chamomile, chaparral, echinacea, horsetail, juniper, quinoa protiens, rosemary, saponria, sea kelp, yucca, ammonium lauryl sulfate, coconut oil, glycerine, propylene glycol, hydrolyzed wheat protien, vitamins A, B5, and B,and imidazolidinyl urea.

Also, if you can reccomend shampoo and conditioner that doesn't have harmful effects, promotes regrowth (if possible), and doesn't smell terrible, it would be much appreciated.

Sorry, no chance at all. Worldwide you'll find no shampoo or conditioner to promote regrowth right now.

Dave228 - One of the ingredients in that shampoo is lauryl sulfate. Would avoid it.

I never have any problem with Aubrey Organics, they are truly 100% natural shampoos.

Revita Shampoo contains a bunch of pro growth stuff as does Nano shampoo. As to their effectiveness, you'll have to comb the forums over at Hair Loss Help or some other site.

Well Revita is not bad shampoo.
Quite nice ingredients. BUT I can swear that REVITA (only revita) CANNOT PROMOTE ANY REGROWTH!!!

Fellas---

If you're looking for a topical, the one that I created is going on trial soon. Free to participate, with the exception of S&H. Here is the link with the information!

http://www.primordialperformance.com/vbulletin/primordial-health/953-primordial-performance-now-accepting-volunteers-hairgen-trial.html

We should have some spots left. Another guy by the name of Ryan has a pre-shampoo/shampoo combination that is all-natural that he is possibly having Primordial pick up as well. His before/after pictures over a year are sick! You leave the pre-shampoo in for 45 minutes, then wash it out and use the shampoo in the shower. This is a daily thing. Anyway, I'm going on a tangent here! Smile

Why is SLS bad? I keep seeing that repeated. i use Nioxin which claims to remove dht, and SLS is an ingredient. I have tried the Aubrey's Organics shampoo before but didn't really care for it. IMO shampoos don't do anything for loss, and some can irritate the scalp.

Nid,

I've been meaning to look into that. I figured I would've missed the 180 mark by now. I'm trying to get a hold of a camera so I can submit some pics. All of the ones I had from before were lost when my hard drive crashed. When are you expecting to mail out the trial product?

I'd like to see this guys photos as well...sounds interesting.

I'm curious.... Am I the only one who has realized that in order to get some really good regrowth pictures all you would have to do is photo your hair as it fell out and then reverse the order of the pictures. If you caught someone early enough with almost a full head of hair, you could even give him some test injections to speed up the process and get some really great 'regrowth' pics. Haha I used to look at some of those snake oil sites over the years and wonder if people were doing that.

If your topical takes off you gotta rip off that hair club for men quote..."I'm not just the owner, I'm a client" or whatever it is. That would be classic. video yourself water skiing and shit. Wink
