Oral Minoxidil

I've read something about this recently(can't remember the source tbh I'll look for it), that it works but the reason why it isn't being pushed by drug companies is that it is an affordable drug and it isn't their benefit to create a cheaper solution to hairloss treatments. Anyone tried this or has any knowledge on the subject?

Does consuming minox not sound questionable from a safety point of view? Considering it can cause some problems even as a topical.

I've never used it but it's pretty sad that after approx 35 years(!) this old blood pressure medication is still pushed as the big cure for hair loss. You would think we could come up with something better in all this time (or at least safer/more natural).
