CS & Others: Are Brush Biopsies Safe? Empty CS & Others: Are Brush Biopsies Safe?

Hi all-long time reader of this great forum and sporadic poster here.  Will be visiting the doctor soon regarding a suspicious sore in my mouth and have read that the brush biopsy is where they're most likely to start. Is this procedure safe?  I'm worried that piercing the sore may spread the cancer if it is indeed that.  Are there any reliable alternatives?  Sorry for the off topic question-bit frightened by it all.  Would pay for a CS consult but money these days is tight.  Any input would be appreciated.  In times like these, hair loss suddenly loses its importance. Health first guys (& gals)!  Thanks.

if it's a type of skin cancer, it's easier to cure without a biopsy
