Botox and Hair Loss?

I was recently diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome, and the doctor recommended getting botox injected into my scalene muscle to help relieve pressure on my nerves. I have read stories however of people who suffered hair loss as a result of botox. Does anyone have any idea how this could be mitigated or if there is a high probability of hair loss from a botox injection? I would really prefer trying botox over getting my first rib/scalene possibly removed at this point, as it would be a lot less invasive.

It seems to have mixed results, with some saying they grew more hair as a result then other reports of hair loss. I checked into it further and it looks like 90% of the cases of hair loss were when it was injected into the forehead, so it's probably not a major issue I'm guessing.
