Can I Mix My Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) Powder With Coconut Oil As A Topical?

Hey all

I was wondering, since I use coconut oil everyday on my scalp/hair anyway, I would really like some tips on how to:

1.  Mix my OptiMSM powder with it (I tried first dissolving it in distilled water, then mixing that with the liquefied coconut oil, but I read you need an emulsifier and then I just facepalmed).

2.  Mix my Ascorbic acid powder with coconut oil in the same way.

I guess at first I'll just stick to only mixing in MSM but then I'd like to try mixing in vitamin C, maybe I should mix them together?  I'm guessing not, maybe I could alternate weekly?  How long would this concoction last since vitamin C is, I think, unstable? I think the MSM mixture would last plenty for my needs.
