Re: Are there any oils out there that are a twin to olive oil? As close to possible same properties etc?
Well, Im using a topical with olive oil in it, but I would like to replace the olive oil (it seems to be lightening my hair) without compromising the effect of the topical. Thing is, Im not sure if the olive oil is just a carrier for the other ingredients or whether it is critical.
So Im trying to find something as close as possible. But I guess if I had to choose what's most important quality wise, it would be olive oil's hair benefiting qualities, which Im not even too sure what they are really.. But ive heard olive oil does possess them.

argan oil is apparently pretty analogous in terms of its profile with the same fatty acids. too bad it's expensive and an endangered species.
olive oil in my opinion doesn't absorb too well and leaves the skin/scalp rather greasy, even after good shower.
it is quality tho, in terms of constituents.
raw coconut oil is very absorbent on the skin tho. check molecular weights for comparison when it concerns absorbability etc.
