I really need help (losing hair as 19 year old)
Hey guys!
Im new here, so this will be my fist topic. I am a guy thats almost 20 years old, and have lost a bit hair for about 2 years now. I didn't do anything with it before I saw that my hair was becoming really thin.
My family has a lot of hair loss, so I was prepared for it, but not that early.
Atm I use these supplements:
Minoxidil Foam
Cicamed Shampoo
Finasterid (1,25 mm)
Lyapko (head massage)
Provexin A100HF

I have grown a bit hair back, but I still miss a lot of it. I have used minoxidil foam a lot, and after I started with it, I have lost shitloads of hair on the top of my head.

Minoxidil Foam - I disagree with it, but okay.
Cicamed Shampoo - not sure.
Finasterid (1,25 mm) - obviously not reccomended on this forum, but okay.
Lyapko (head massage) - that's fine.
Provexin A100HF - not sure what this is.
Okay.
What you can do, is ADD, to your current regimen.
It would be dangerous to stop it immediately, but you should stop minox gradually.
perhaps replace finasteride with beta sitosterol.
It's up to you.
but do the following ::
add in
taurine with b6 (countrylife brand) - for shedding. b6 reduces prolactin too.
a zinc/copper complex
test for this in a lab
Whole Blood Serotonin < 25 ng/mL
Prolactin < 4 ng/mL
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) <0.4 uIU/mL
Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) Supressed
Carbon Dioxide (at least) 30 mmol/L
Cholesterol (Total) 200-230 mg/dL
Vitamin D 25(OH)D 50-70 ng/mL
Lactic acid (low as possible)
do those things, then get back to us.

Re: I really need help (losing hair as 19 year old)
Thanks
I have been told that it can get ineffective to use a lot of supplements, do you know someone here that have used all these supplements, and responded good to it?
Sorry if Im a bit curious, but I have never heard about these supplements before. Im a member in a norwegian forum, thats why I use finasteride and monoxidil, because they recommended it to me.

yes, minox and finasteride are generally considered unsafe and not reccomended on a natural forum
taurine with b6 - very safe
zinc/copper - very safe
immortalhair regimen :
ecklonia cava is safe
resveratrol/curcumin safe too

Sory to point this out, but you have bad wrinkles on you forehead for an 19 years old. I don't want to scare you but this could be because of Minoxidil collagen inhibition - I am using it for 3 years and it is just not worth it doesn't even tackle the real culprits of balding. I have bad wrinkles, bloating, dark circles, inflammation on scalp because of Minoxidil.

Re: I really need help (losing hair as 19 year old)
quitting minoxidil immediately will cause a shed and hair loss
use the supplements I mentioned to reduce the shedding
also consider a silica supplement, to further prevent shedding from minoxidil
so :
1)get the blood tests
2)take the anti-shedding supplements I mentioned, as well as the immortalhair regimen
3)gradually come off minoxidil and finasteride, over a month or two
4) read hair like a fox, although it is quite complex for a hair loss newbie
trust us, we on this forum have taken every supplement in existence

Re: I really need help (losing hair as 19 year old)
defenetly apply to your scalp topicals like Zix or Super zix which reduce shedding effectivly and benefit hair.
Its just a mix of B6 with zinc and some alcohol , so its safe, cheap and very easy to make.
i know it sounds too much of an effort for begginer but dont waste your time , i wish i knew few years back about Zix.

Re: I really need help (losing hair as 19 year old)
It looks like you have aggressive hair loss to me. Your hair looks a lot like mine did at one point, and we share common ancestries(norwegian).
Stick to the finasteride, and find a shampoo that has ketoconazole in it. The supplements that are being recommended do not have any before and afters. Do not take them all or you will run out of money quick.
Your core should be these three:
- Fin, Keto Shampoo, Massage.
For massage, keep doing what you're doing if you're convinced it might work but we have a thread on here titled Detumescence therapy that may be of interest to you. I also recommend taking Zinc Picolinate 30mg with 2mg copper with your finasteride because when you inhibit your DHT your testosterone takes over some of the processes your DHT handled... so you'd better be supplying your body with what it needs for optimal Test production(zinc) to hopefully reduce risks of side effects.

that's true, however b6 is essential too
Would you encourage him to come off finasteride gradually, or not ?
after all this forum is for alternative options
also, don't forget the paleo diet. you must live on olive oil, almond flour, and chicken. like our ancestors.

I'm not a purist when it comes to naturals I'm more of a hybrid. If his situation wasn't so severe, I'd say he should wean off finasteride and introduce beta sisosterol, but this is a 19 year old kid we're talking about. I don't know if beta sisosterol is as powerful as finasteride. Not enough people use it, and instead use dumb stuff like Saw Palmetto so we don't have anyone posting results with it.
What does vitamin b6 do for hair? And lol at paleo diet xD

I tried Beta-Sitosterol for 2 years at low dosages - no regrowth just maintenance of my sad see trough scalp NW3 pattern.

this supplment looks nice as alternative to finestride , before they didnt have the fish oil in the formula, but still nice.

First, thank you guys for the good respond, it helps me a lot.
Hey, the wrinkles is so easy to see because I did a head massage right before I took the picture. Normally it doesn't look that ill, and I have had these wrinkles as long as I can remember.
I have not used minoxidil for a long time, just for 3-4 months.. I have used finasteride for 2 months now, and have not been seing any side effects from it yet.
My hair loss started to get really ill when I started with minoxidil, before that I had very thick hair on the top, and thinner in front. I have talked with a lot of people in the Norwegian forum, and they say that you're going to loose a lot of hair at the start, but they will grow back.
What is do dangerous about minoxidil anyway?

Re: I really need help (losing hair as 19 year old)
minox can cause hair loss
and may not be effective
we prefer natural alternatives on this forum
get the blood tests
we support solving your own problems on this forum,
rather than reccomending fin/minox to everyone
