My hairloss? With pics
With 2 doctors opinions saying I didn't have hairloss, excuse the extremely shitty quality of the pics, but do you think I have hairloss and will benefit from taking PM which I am about to order in the next few days.
Shows the side of my head where I believe I have some thinning.
The best I could get of my hairline.
Side of my head again with different lighting.
Hairline again showing how high up the right side of my hairline is.
3 pictures of my crown, my crown has been commented on by a friend who was stood above me.
Will I benefit from getting PM and Maca?

Everyone at some point experiences thinning in the frontal area. Early or later in life and doesn't imply balding. Same for being thin in the back may not always imply MPB but just the way your hair is.
If anything it will thicken your hair

Hmm, I am self conscious about it and always seem to be shedding hairs, my fringe has definitely got thinner over the past 1-2 years and i'd also like the reduction of body hair. Shall I still buy some PM?

It wouldn't hurt in my opinion. Why not tackle the problem early?

Yeah thats what I thought. So PM, maca and some non-sls shampoo. What else should I get, if anything on a tight budget?

Usually you've got to lose about one-third of your hair before it's obvious to everyone. This is the time to fight.
Re: My hairloss? With pics
Yeah, should I buy anything other than PM, maca and some non-sls shampoo to start with?

Don't forget Biotin, Omega 3, and green tea extract. All come rather cheap so adding those would help

Wow that maxi hair has a lot of things in it! Have you experienced positive results from using that? What else do you take? Should I replace biotin with maxi hair and buy everything else on my list?

Re: My hairloss? With pics
I have used actually Maxi hair for 10 yrs or so perhaps less time, Before I used Ultra Hair by Natures Plus , which is better but cost at least two times as much.
Yes Maxi Hair is great. As for the other parts of Your regimen I cannot comment, this site has so many long regimens, you will just have to experiment

they are usually cheap

tooyoung - What have you tried so far?
Pueraria Mirifica is experimental, there are better things than maca for libido. Is it to protect against PM?

CS,
This will be my first regimen, I find some of this very confusing and just want to make sure I get the best start I can towards battling hairloss. I would massively appreciate any advice you give towards what I am planning to buy before I make my first order.
The maca was meant to combat the loss of libido that PM may give, but if you can recommend me a better one, or any additions to my regimen I would be very grateful.

Re: My hairloss? With pics
tooyoung - If you can incorporate three areas, such as a source of Omega-3 (balances prostaglandins), a potent antioxidant (contains free-radicals), and an anti-inflammatory you'll have good coverage.
HanginInthere has been a strong supporter of vitamins and minerals and I agree strongly. In fact, I usually falsely assume that everyone is taking a good source of minerals and vitamins.
Other than that as a basic formula, there is diet considerations--knowing what foods may adversely affect your hair more than others.

Right, thanks.
I take a multivitamin daily as well as a high strength vitamin c tablet.
If I can get those 3 things sorted will that work?
I have omega 3 tablets in my house which i admittedly don't take as often as I should.
I read a topic not long ago on here about the theory antioxidants help cancer cells, is this proven, is there anything else I can take?
I have no idea what to buy regarding anti-inflammatories and would be extremely grateful to be pointed in the right direction. : )

Re: My hairloss? With pics
tooyoung - Starting with Anti-oxidants, what you heard is the worst kind of science from the worst source it usually comes from--the media. For example, you might have heard something to the effect of a vitamin fraction of Vitamin A (beta-carotene) increasing cancer in smokers. Beta-carotene is merely one of 600 carotenoids, they are never used in isolated, fractional form, but scientists often mistake plant chemicals as drugs and isolate them, when they work properly in a matrix with their other co-factors.
If you ate foods that were rich in carotenoids, which happen to include beta carotene, these co-called risks would not exist, whether they were smokers or not.
The media never mentions the whole picture, they are in my opinion completely unqualified to mention these studies since it seems they rarely ever get an objective and balanced statements on nutrition. It's actually rare to find a news story on anything related to vitamins or nutrition as accurate.
What is is a good anti-oxidant? As far as I am concerned, Ecklonia Cava is A-#1. The reasons are many, firstly it is 40% fat soluble, which means it acts universally in both water and fat soluble tissue, it also remains active in the body for a period of 12 hours approximately, allowing for protection against free-radicals to last up to 24 times longer than typical plant based antioxidants.
Ecklonia Cava also has a remarkably high oxygen radical absorbent capacity (ORAC), 8,300 roughly. There's much, much more to this and it also acts as an anti-inflammatory as well--an extremely potent one. Ecklonia cava will help fight cancer in a variety of ways. See Immortalhair.org for more information.
As for Omega-3 fatty acid, standard fish oil has a few problems. One, it can go rancid or subject itself to oxidation through light, heat or oxygen. Krill oil is significantly superior to it. If you go the fish oil route, the best source is Blue Ice fermented cod liver oil--the only cod liver in existence that is worth you time.
Technically both Ecklonia Cava and Omega-3 act as anti-inflammatory so you would be covered with these.

Thanks a lot for the above post. I shall get on ordering very soon. Will just the Ecklonia Cava and krill oil work effectively? Will I not need anything else?
In a different topic you said that, in the young, androgen blockage was the most effective treatment. Shouldn't I try this?

tooyoung - Yes, it's something to jump on if you're starting to thin. You could probably tell much better than anyone else.
Beta-Sitosterol is pretty cheap, and based on all the feedback in this forum on Pueraria Mirifica, the former is a better idea.
I've tried all kinds of crazy doses in the past, try to keep it within a 100 milligrams per dose.

Right, so for my first order, should I try beta-sitosterol, krill oil, ecklonia cava and some non-sls shampoo?

He said the former is better so you want PM not Beta-Sitosterol. Though he said to make sure you keep the dose around 100mg. Some people have been taking a larger dose every other day.
