L-Glutamine causing depression - advise?
Hello,
Anyone know a way to counteract the depression affect from taking L-Glutamine?
I know L-Glutamine is suppose to remove depression symptoms, but causes the opposite effect with me.
From my understanding could be caused by;
1. ammonia build up
2. liver has toxic build up
Any advise, I would really like to keep taking L-Glutamine for Gut repair?
Bob

I tried L-Glutamine several times but felt awful for a day or two afterward. It was a dark, foggy, agitated feeling. I gave up on the stuff. I'm trying cabbage juice instead which is rich in L-Glutamine as well as many other beneficial components.

Is the cabbage juice fermented by chance?
I had lessened depression when I was using glutamine for training purposes looking back.

No, the cabbage juice is not fermented but that sounds like a good idea. I'm trying to get back into eating more cultured veggies. I've cultured cabbage before but never tried it with juice.
