Muscle Sprains, Pains - Tropicin
So I went to my local health food store looking for something to help me heal variuos muscle sprains/aches/pains that I have from overdoing it on this new workout regimen that I'm running.
The lady at the health food store rec'd this stuff:
http://www.elixirs.com/products.cfm?productcode=T4A
Anyone have any experience with this stuff?
The lady was very knowledgeable. I asked her about DMSO (they don't carry it), but she knew exactly what it was.
Anyone have any other suggestions as on something that will help SPEED HEALING of slight muscle sprains so I can continue training uninterrupted?

scottyc33 - Taking Glycine regularly (2 grams) when working out can reduce sprains.
The product you mentioned does work. There are many products on the market that are similar, so it's worth a try.

IH - are you referring to DMG - N Dimethyl Glycine?

Nevermind - I found this:
"Dimethyl Glycine , a by-product of choline-to-glycine metabolization, is a building block for the synthesis of methionine, choline, and important hormones, neurotransmitters, and DNA."
When I went to the health store today the lady brought up DMG to me.

Magnesium oil applied topically will do wonders as well. Had my dad purchase some for his shoulder and foot, and he said he noticed an immediate difference on the first application. Not only that, but it absorbs into your bloodstream giving you a good amount of Magnesium!

Scotty, either you have too many issues or you got boat load of money to burn - which one is it?
Everyday you are at the store buying something new, have you considered some counselling for this?

LOL - I earn a good living.
I consider buying and trying new supps to be a hobby. One that pays dividends in the area of life that matters most - health.

Hey Nid - I used the Tropicin and then the mag oil a couple hours after last night and all of my pain points feel noticeably better today.

Hey IH - anything you can recommend on top of the Glycine?
Last week I got a serious case of tennis elbow (I was aching in pain and crying for my mommy for 3 hours) and I rolled my ankle yesterday - it's mighty sore today.
I hate this sh*t because I was never injury prone - until I turned 30 that is .

Ashwaghandha + L-glutamine
Get used to getting Old !!!
On the serious note, I play cricket and it is very taxing on joints (high impact sport) - I take 1 Ashwaghandha capsule Jarrrwo brand (sensoril???) before game to give me the energy and saving me from pains and aches later. And at the end of the game, I take 2g l-glutamine drink - these 2 works very well and by the mid day I am good again (largely).
I have shin splints and my legs hurt like crazy after this game - but using protocol usually lessens the pain to be very manageable.
