CS: Three-year old girl with asthma
Three-year old girl with asthma, her parents gives her a cortison drug by inhalation device, prescribed
by their doctor. However, her attacks is getting more frequent and worse, it started in the little but
clearly is becoming a major problem. In your experience, how can we help her? Broccomax? What dosage
would be appropriate for a three and a half year old otherwise healthy little girl?

cpio - The first thing to check is for causation. What is very common is wheat/gluten sensitivity. Either try eliminating wheat products or have her get an Anti-gliadin antibody test. This will definitely tell if she is allergic to wheat or gluten.
Lugol's solution has been found useful for some in Asthma, but if symptoms worsen stop the therapy.
Broccomax is worth a try and how much? For a 3-year-old, a 3 to 4 milligram dose (that's about one eighth the normal dose) would probably be enough.
Magnesium works great for asthma attacks (Intravenous), but Transdermal or Magnesium oil would probably work just as well. Perhaps some of that Nigari would help?

You guys are avoiding dairy, right? For a 3-4 year old this can be problematic. But dairy can add mucus only aggravating the situation.
One thing to always recommend (when not under an attack) would be to inhale as hard as she can and then hold - you are trying to increase the capacity and train the pathways to expand and work a little harder. Even if the little one cannot hold the air, ask her to take 8-10 deep breaths every so often 10-20 times a day, it cannot hurt.

Bringing up a very old post but I just came across this. I've been taking iodine probably about over 6 months now and recently I've felt quite short of breath past few nights and I take iodine and humifulvate at night. Can an asthma reaction happen suddenly or would it have happened long before? I don't really want to stop the iodine, what should I do?

Is this also a factor? I've been having more milk, butter, eggs and cottage cheese past few days. Although the problem seems to be at night...

tooyoung - Do you take any magnesium? You might dry dropping the milk, see what happens.

Yeah 400-600mg citrate a day. I saw something on 180 degree health blog on inflammation and asthma earlier

Do you think the Arachidonic Acid is a big factor?
