Beginners regime Empty Beginners regime

Post  Hairbeback Fri Apr 10, 2009 1:20 pm

Hi, I was wondering what regime would be good for a newbie trying to reverse hair loss? I don't want to take to many supplements, I am currently on a raw fruits and vegetables and seeds and nuts diet. I heard of Beta Sis and did some research recently. What else? omega 3? bioton? and how do I know if I have candida or not. Does the spit test really work? Or do I need to go too a doctor and get checked?

Adding parsley and celery will make your diet even better for hair. If you like herbal infusions, try passion flower incarnata.

On his startsite http://www.freewebs.com/immortalhair/ IH gives you a good description what
candida does to your body. You also will find a spit test where
you can determinate whether you are candida positve or not
(Check the buttons at the top).

I think the spit test does really work. I was failing it consistently until 3 months after trying to control it, taking 3,000 mg of niacinimide a day, I finally passed it. But I think if I tested again I would fail it today.

How long have you been on the vegetarian diet for?

I am on the "raw food diet" I did some reserach on it. Found out about some of the myths and will probably add some fish to the diet. I did the candida spit test but I only tested the spit for about an hour and 10 minutes...is that enough time? or do I have to let it sit the whole day?

How long have you been on the raw food diet then?

You only have to wait an hour. Actually you should check every 15 minutes during that hour. When my candida overgrowth was really bad, I would see the strings drop from the saliva a few seconds after it hit the water, that's how bad it was. After a few months, I would have to come back 15 minutes later and then i'd see strings but not as many. So I still failed the test but atleast there was progress.

One more thing--make sure to do the test first thing in the morning, before eating or drinking anything. Just gather up some spit, and drop it in a glass of water. Then, as mentioned, check it every 15 minutes for an hour. If it's still at the top of the water, no strings or anything below it--you're good to go.

To tell the truth I didn't check every 15 minutes. guess I will have to try it again tommorow, but the glass wasn't cloudy and there was no specks floating in the water, it was really bubbly though. I have been on my diet for about 3 weeks. The pounds just shed off. I recenly watched an interview on yahoo about where people live the longest and one of the guys talking said basically that supplements don't work andits what you eat and how you excercise. This made me have second thoughts about beta sis and other supplements

Hairbeback - I saw that interview..... I'll make it really simple. When someone on TV or not, can make such a general statement like that it should be dismissed. He made no mention of evidence and I doubt he has any.

For one thing, about one-third of the supplements I take have strong evidence that they increase lifespan. I'm pretty confident that this will be the case because:

My health improved a 180 degrees for the better in some very significant categories.

Hairbeback - As far as Beta-Sitosterol is not a longevity supplement by any means but for an androgen blockade it will slow things down for a few years (if you're young).

Pueraria Mirifica is probably going to be more effective.

I was reading about Pueraria Mirifica on one website...which stated that estrogen is the cause of hair loss....and that soy and flax seeds were some of the culprits. It all so stated that after I use the product to use a DHT remover to remove DHT from my scalp. seems like a lot of work....

Dealing with candida is hard I don't feel like wasting 3 months before I start my hair regime. I did the test and while it looked like I didn't have it I didn't check up on it every 15 minutes, so i might have to do it again. Is there a faster way to go about candida?
