Ugh. I've been following the Body By Science lifting protocol since June. I've seen massive strength gains and in my body shape/composition.

About 2 weeks ago while rowing 400lbs which is an obscene amount of weight for me I got a thunderclap headache. It came on fast and hard and lasted for a few minutes then dissipated. I chalked it up to lifting too much weight or not breathing/holding my breath during the lift. It only occurs on the row. It does not occur during cardio or other lifts such as leg press, chest press, shoulder press, lat pulldown.

Then a few days later I was having sex w/my wife and at the point of orgasm I had another thunderclap headache. This was one stronger than the first incident.

I went to go get it checked out and they didn't find anything in the testing and told me they were benign incidents. They told me to take NSAID's like Advil before exertion activities. I obviously, don't want to make a regular habit of popping ibuprofein before I exert myself.

Does anyone have any experience or ideas on this subject?

For now I'm going to take 2 weeks off from activities that cause these, but I'm obviously not thrilled if this is something permanent.

If you close your eyes and look up... if you see flashes of light then this symptom can be an issue. It appears like a lot of lightning bolts.

rdkml - I'm not seeing lightning bolts when I do that.
