tension headaches Empty tension headaches

IH -- I'm getting a constant tension type headache on the back right of my head. Right around the base of my skull behind my right ear.

I went to go get it checked out and the doc diagnosed it as tension headaches.

I didn't give them the list of supps I'm on, but I'm wondering if there is anything in the regimen that could cause this kind of reaction OR is there anything you know of that can help this kind of situation other than NSAID's and the usual crap they prescribe.

I don't have sensitivity to light or anything -- it's just a pain, sometimes shooting in that one area. Happens a lot when I'm in front of the computer.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

hadrion - Tension headaches can be sometimes a result of either an allergy, low seratonin or some other cause.

It can often be remedied with Lithium Orotate. Try 20 milligrams per day and see if that takes care of it. Also you might try 5-HTP if that doesn't work.

Thanks IH--I'll give the Lithium Orotate a shot since I have a lot of it left from my topical supply.

Allergy is definitely a possibility...one the Dr. didn't mention.

I've been taking both religiously for about 7 months with no problems.

The headaches started about a month or so ago.

I think I recall that Magnesium keeps headaches at bay. Perhaps some Mag. Oil if you're not using it already massaged into the scalp in the shower and left on overnight? A teaspoon is equal to a few grams.

Nid -- Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm already taking Mag Orotate & using it topically.

My wife thinks I need glasses (never wore them before) and that's what's causing the head aches when I'm at the computer and such. I don't get them when I'm relaxing, exercising or sleeping. They definitely come and go.

Hadrion--

I used to get those sorts of headaches when I was younger and my mother would attribute it to being on the computer all the time, playing video games, etc. However, I don't get them anymore and haven't for some time now (even well before the regime). Though, with the regime these days--I don't get much of anything except energy. Smile
