O/T - Pre Workout Empty O/T - Pre Workout

Just wondering if anyone has some recommendations on taking something pre workout? I find my energy levels really do tank way to quickly, especially when hitting the weights to a point where I'm completely shot after a couple of sets of one exercise. Any ideas?

Thanks for the responses. A lot of the pre workout 'boosters' contain artificial sweeteners, something I have avoided for a few years now. May try a coffee 20-30 pre workout and will see how I get on

i think whole milk or any fat close to a workout is a mistake and it's well documented to be not optimal.
