Books on epigenetics
I'm having 'matura' this year, it's kind of a school leaving examination before one goes to university. My topic in biology will be epigenetics and since much of hairloss theory is based on this I thought you guys can give me some suggestions for books.
It should be a reputable book, scientific but not too scientific
Ideally a book that is translated to german but thats not a must....

Book Review and Synopsis: I Broke the Mystery of Male Pattern Baldness
I hope you find one, please let me know. I haven't found any study or book that discusses the epigenetics of baldness.pancacke wrote:My topic in biology will be epigenetics and since much of hairloss theory is based on this
So if you type the words baldness epigenetics book on google there is only one that discusses. Epigenetics is not well funded by research grants.

Re: Books on epigenetics
Little missunderstanding, I don't search for mpb-epigenitcs connection. I'm looking for a book about epigenetics only....
What I was pointing out is that some guys on this forum are aware of epigentics: Environment and diet alter gene expressions and one eventually ends up with hairloss. Then you change your diet and influences of the environment and you eventually get rid of it...At least that is how I think of it
CS has wrote about it a few times, if I remember correctly

Book Review and Synopsis: I Broke the Mystery of Male Pattern Baldness
I see. Let me know if you find one. I's buy it too. There are websites that talk about epigenetics. Books, I think you should search Amazon.com
I think there are also published studies about epigenetics but not very extensive because of the lopsided beliefs in genetics.
If this will help you visualize what epigenetics meanse:
What your grandmother ate can affect you. Not what you ate.
Or a mother who ate lots of chicken fed with gtowth hormones might bear a child who is suseptible to asthma.
