Wrinkle cream
In IHs article 'Battling skin ageing part 2' he suggests finding a wrinkle cream with the following ingredients:
Ascorbyl Palmitate, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (known as Argireline), Palmitoyl Pentapeptide (known as Matrixyl) and Pycnogenol.
The best one I could find after a quick search is Derma E peptides plus wrinkle reverse cream-http://www.amazon.com/Peptides-Cream-Wrinkle-Reverse-Ounces/dp/B0009LEDMG
Has anybody treid this or any other brand...any opinions?
Thanks

I would like to know more about this also. Maybe you could make your own cream with all those ingredients?

Re: Wrinkle cream
olive oil is a good moisturizer too but not effective against wrinkles.
By the way I checked Dr. Perricone's website for the serum but the two I found didn't have all the ingridients Ih recommended. Has anyone found it/has a link for me?

Re: Wrinkle cream
For me it would be unrefined shea butter from east african I love the stuff. I'm 25 and my friends all around the same age...some older some younger and they have forehead wrinkles and wrinkles around the eyes. I use to smoke cigs for 4 or 5 years a pack and a half a day chain smoking, but while I was smoking I always put this cream on my face in the morning....no wrinkles anywhere.

Re: Wrinkle cream
I use Skin Eternal Serum (can be found on Iherb). It is basically Dr. Periconne's formula at 1/5 the price.

Re: Wrinkle cream
hey scottyc33,
Is this the serum IH was reffering to in his article? I see that it contains vitamin c-ester but what about the other ingredients: Argireline(Acetyl Hexapeptide-3), Matrixyl(Palmitoyl Pentapeptide), Pycnogenol. Can't find any of those in the formulation!?

No - it isn't the one IH talks about.
This is Skin Eternal:

I think the ingredients IH references can be found here:

I did buy the Derma E as well but I primarily use the Skin Eternal.

Has propylene glycol in it. Is it safe to say it does more harm to the skin over time than good?

Shit - that is a good catch.
My wife uses the cream - no propylene glycol in the cream.

Re: Wrinkle cream
This one looks even worse with:
Esteryl Alcohol
Cetyl Alcohol
Glyceryl Stearate & PEG 100 Stearate (wtf is that)
Actually serum is better i reckon alcohol is extremely bad for the face.

Re: Wrinkle cream
I'd like to formulate my own topical cream. I already have capsules of the following:
I have two questions I hope someone can answer for me. One is there a difference between what is made to be ingested and what is made to be used topically? And two what type of base cream or lotion can I should I use for optimal skin penetration? I have some DMI liquid but I'm not sure that is adequate.
I was also thinking of adding some Resveratrol and Vitamin C ester.
Thanks
- Hyaluronic Acid
- R-ALA
- DMAE
