Re: Brewer's Yeast to get a lot of NUTRITION all at once for Hair/body :)
Why is it so important that brewers yeast is gluten free?

Re: Brewer's Yeast to get a lot of NUTRITION all at once for Hair/body :)
I am using the Now brand recommended by IH, which is supposed to be gluten-free. Still, I have gained weight in the past 5 months (around 4 to 5 pounds) with exactly the same diet. This leads me to believe that Brewer's yeast may have a different mechanism of action to induce weight gain that is not related to gluten. Any ideas or similar experience ?

Liver Powder doesn't seem to pack...

Just an fyi, since I know a lot of people here use brewers yeast. I contacted the nutrition dept at NOW and they said they cannot guarantee that their brewers yeast tablets will be gluten free. They did say that their Natural Yeast Powder is completely gluten free though.
