List of foods to help hair (add your food 'with proof')
Id like to try start a list of foods that will benefit our hair and overall health. Im sure a few of you veterans allready posted alot but they allways get put in other threads.
Also they all must be proven.
Id just like to see an easy to follow diet that will benefit us all.
Ill make a big list up once we have a good collection.

Here's a few to add
Grass-fed and Free Range Meats
Eggs
Coconut oil
Butter
Broccoli Sprouts.
Chia Seeds
I'm somewhat of a carnivore, so my diet isn't right for everyone.

Re: List of foods to help hair (add your food 'with proof')
I have read that Broccoli has hair benefits, but I have also read it can suppress Thyroid function.....
I have been reading about the whole zero carb/meat and water way of eating, some say it helps hair loss, others report increased loss (iron overload?).
Individual experimentation is the way to go.
I just bought 2 packs of Buckwheat

Any suggestions on TEAS and DRINKS that are good?
I enjoy Pau D'arco tea for all its documented benefits but am not sure what, if anything it is doing for my hair as I am taking supplements along with it. Its a replacement for coffee.

fritzenburg - I'm not so worried about the iron content in foods, except maybe for iron fortified grains. Most of the supplements we are taking combat the iron oxidation effect, so not too worried.
I think as long as there is essential fatty acids in the diet (Omega-3 supplements) to counteract Arachidonic acid, we're okay.
Iodine supplementation can counteract foods like broccoli that contain some goitrogens.

CS, I put iodized salt on most my meals (that need salt). Do you think thats enough iodine or is it worth ordering something to supplement. Can you recommed anything?

cuebreeze - Whether goitrogenic foods present a potential threat is difficult to say, since from what I have gathered the body sees it has a temporary inhibition of thyroid hormone. Nevertheless it has also been studied that iodine prevents the initial negative threat in the first place.
Does iodized salt contain enough iodide to counteract this? The short answer is no. The long answer is contained in this slide presentation.

The bold words are categories or types or food groups.

Cue- frtzenburg is right. There are groups in my earlier post. I know about the anti-estrogenic effects, almost free of gluten, it´s not rich in carbs either.
I dońt think that my diet is brilliant. There are many things to improve.
