2D 4D Ratio And Hairloss? Empty 2D 4D Ratio And Hairloss?

Post  gbp2000 Thu Oct 08, 2009 5:42 am

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a correlation between the 2D 4D ratio of peoples fingers and mpb. The reason I ask is that I wondered if hormone levels in the womb had any sort of predetermining effect on the probability of going bald?

I suspect not, but before I can move forward in my research I want to be sure of this!

2D 4D Ratio And Hairloss? Empty Re: 2D 4D Ratio And Hairloss?

I just found this - that I thought was interesting:

Digit ratio in men correlates with genetic variation in the androgen receptor gene (Manning et al. 2003). Men with genes that produce androgen receptors that are more sensitive to testosterone have lower, more masculine, digit ratios.

From this, I suspect I have androgen receptors that are not sensitive to testosterone...
