Protein drink for morning energy.

I'm looking for a good protein powder for the mornings, and suggestions? Is a protein shake good to take even if you arent working out in the morning? And is it OK for the hair?

I would recommend All The Whey brand, they have a delicious cinammon bun flavor that is perfect for mornings. Their other flavors are also quite good, and the prices are excellent. It can be purchased at NutraPlanet's website (a bit cheaper) or All The Whey's website.

From experience, ingesting whey protein does not affect hair positively or negatively, as long as you don't overdo it. Suddenly switching to a very high protein diet certainly could increase shedding. I'd stick to one morning shake and if you work out, one shake right after the exercise bout.

Malik - This product looks quite good. Not as overpriced as I expected (from Mercola), well at least if you buy the discounted 6-pack.

I saw the Miracle Whey one as well, and strongly agree with everything Mercola purports. It's a good product.

While I agree that the Miracle Whey looks like a very good product, some of the statements on the website intended to promote their product are flat out lies.

I use the Now 100% whey protein isolate with stevia. I like it because it is the only one I have ever found sweetened with stevia, and it's very reasonably priced. The cheapest I've seen it is at bulknutrition.com.
