What is your current hairloss regimen and is it working for you?
Haven't done one of these threads in a while. As the title says, what are currently doing for hairloss and is it working for you?
Currently I have slowed down my hairloss but it is still thinning out. I suspect this is due to stress and gut issues. What I'm doing at the moment is some rounds of oil of oregano, regularly take glutamine, ashwaghanda.. sometimes take MSM and magnesium. Still doing DT which really helps to keep my scalp loose and flexible. Meditation. Sometime K2 rubbed into the skin, getting sun outdoors for vitamin D, cacao a couple times a week, and trying to eat a gluten free diet except for sourdough bread which I'm probably eating too much of
How about you guys? I know we are all different and have different issues contributing to our own hairloss, but maybe we can still help eachother with some ideas at least.

Re: What is your current hairloss regimen and is it working for you?
Probably no point in mentioning what I do, as it's littered all over the place here. Plus I'm a solid 15 years resolved of hair loss at this point, so this mostly academic for me to be here.
However, always interesting to see what people are doing or not doing.
Tried all sorts of diets to experience the pros and cons...and noticed that generations who grew up during the glyphosate years (about 1996 or so) is when this started to be introduced into the food supply. Then post 1988, \/@ccinations schedules took a large climb, which causes more damage to the gut. I was lucky to escape this deluge.
No doubt, gut problems can really make this challenge more difficult.
Quackcines in my youth definitely did some damage to my gut, yet by the time hair loss was a first concern (about 19), I no longer had gut trouble, so for it was a non sequitur.
Notice these days not a lot of people are talking at all about EFA's. Anyway, at least in my book, that's a must have.

If your current regimen is different than the link in your signature, I for one would appreciate seeing your regimen all in one place, Immortal Hair.

Re: What is your current hairloss regimen and is it working for you?
I'm always experimenting, however the basic line up has been the same for quite a long time.
For a multi, just to cover something really important (at least for me is)
https://www.iherb.com/pr/life-extension-two-per-day-multivitamin-120-tablets/86454?=hil335
I take a lot of lipoic acid/acetyl-carnitine. So a multi like the above is critical.
I try to be real vague on the regimen page because no one is the same. Everyone's requirements
different, etc. So, never want to imply that X or Y is the best for everyone.
Plus diet is another journey that requires experimentation.
I take a boat load of MSM, and usually take cod liver oil in favor of krill oil.
My regimen is primed to prevent iron issues (iron induced inflammation/excess), which I believe to afflict 30% of us.
DHT is meaningless in the big picture. It's all about inflammation, prostaglandins and cytokines, and healthy redox balance.
Something I've added as an experiment the last 2 months is CDS

CS, why do you prefer CLO over krill oil?

Krill oil is great, but it's heavier on the wallet. CLO is a fine source of retinol plus the EFA's for less.

@CausticSymmetry
what do you suggest for someone with stomach/gut issues? Oil of Oregano and Glutamine helps to keep things at bay but I'm still suffering and think it is causing alot of diffuse thinning for me. Probiotics seems to make my issues worse.

Hey CS, thanks for the reply. Last question if you don't mind my asking. On average, how much MSM, R-ALA and ALCAR do you take?

Re: What is your current hairloss regimen and is it working for you?
I‘m not CS but personally I take 10-15 g of MSM, 3 x 150 mg of lipoic acid (bioenhanced) and 3 x 1000 mg of acetyl-l-carnitine (sometimes I take l-carnitine-l-tartrate, I am experimenting with this).

What are your results like on this regimen? Are you maintaining or losing? Is your hair getting thicker?

In short, I review the stage of where someone is at...so there's usually a certain order to things. Not everyone reactions the same....oil of Oregano is a good example, wouldn't be a first choice.
In other words, find out what is or did cause the gut damage...

While I'm not sure what the issues is or where it came from, I have a feeling parasites are involved as I have travelled alot (also recently). Any recommendations for clearing out parasites?

Turpentine and sugar (Look up Dr. Jennifer Daniels). Full instructions per her protocol which is a free download.
The key search term is Candida Cleaner report.

Just an FYI...yep, I've tried it myself (over 10 years).

Dr Cowan and Dr Kaufman recent conversation about Turpentine.
Interesting part starts around the 11min mark.

Re: What is your current hairloss regimen and is it working for you?
My mom has been complaining about urinary tract infection(or symptoms that mimic it) and I was going to suggest turpentine but then I decided to try it for myself first and I downloaded this manual and it seems to be pretty complicated and delicate. I mean it says if you don't do the 5 steps perfectly then you might end up doing more harm then good. Is it really that volatile?CausticSymmetry wrote:Turpentine and sugar (Look up Dr. Jennifer Daniels). Full instructions per her protocol which is a free download.

Re: What is your current hairloss regimen and is it working for you?
Yes and no.....the caveats are, the dosing for one.
The primary concern that Daniels briefs about is constipation. In other words, in her view if you do not have at
least 3 bowel movements a day, taking Turpentine is not advisable.
The she states the reasons is that the parasites will not be able to exit and then the side-effects will be evident.
I can confirm that if people are constipated it will not create the desired effect.
I eat zero vegetables, so that would "break her rules," however that doesn't really matter, because the main point here is ensure you're doing something that will allow a proper exit.
Taking something that ensures regularity is a good idea.

She mentions taking castor oil or magnesium citrate or vitality capsules. I don't think I can get the capsules but is castor oil or magnesium citrate good enough ?CausticSymmetry wrote:Yes and no.....the caveats are, the dosing for one.

Also why is Turpentine universally hated ? I've seen articles that outright call it "poison."
edit :
I couldn't find anything substantial but can turpentine oil be as a topical(like a drop or two in other essential oils) for hair loss?

Well before the medical cartel took over.... (research the Flexner Report)
https://www.cancertutor.com/flexner-report/
....Continued, *any* natural substance that works really well is viciously attacked by mainstream - that includes turpentine.
One part of our world trusts the media, so when they read words, like poison it keeps people too afraid to try
it.
However, Turpentine has been used for hundreds of years. Proportionally it's 30% as toxic as paracetamol/acetaminophen. It's all about the dose and how you use it.
Tens of thousands die every year form OTC drugs.
So there's always some truth, just a half-truth.
Do not suggest Turpentine as topical (it's an essential oil, but too powerful undiluted).
Improving regularity or alleviating constipation ...cannot attest to one specific method working, trial and error is
everything.

I might just search the web for this. Interesting note on magnesium, when I first started taking it(magnesium malate in pill form) it introduced constipation. It feels like as long as I'm taking it, I'm getting less bowel movements, prior to starting it like 2 years ago, I had more frequent(albeit irregular) bowel movement.
On a completely different note, while I was searching for turpentine on the forums I came across a bunch of threads from 2008 which mentioned topical K2(something to do with calcification in the scalp), did anything good came out of that?

Try Magnesium oxide, should loosen things up.
Topical K2....not that I know of. The mechanism is internal.

1 gram a day, 5 to 10 days was clear, but keeps taking it since it also helps ease back and joint pain.
