Drinking baking soda?

There are many people doing this nowadays, you hear all kinds of benefits, from detox effects, to kidney benefits, to curing cancer. However the doctors on You Tube contradict each other, some are very pro, some are against it, some say you have to mix it with lemon juice....any opinions here?
