Eye Floaters - Is there a cure?
Is there an effective treatment for eye floaters?
I have read that serrapeptase, bromelain, papain, inositol, choline, methionine, astaxanthin, lutein, NAC eye drops can help resolve floaters. Is this true or is there no real science behind their efficacy?

Thanks CS. I'll buy hyaluronic acid. I heard this helps the skin too.

Re: Eye Floaters - Is there a cure?
If it doesn't resolve fast enough, may have to consider an anti-parasite protocol

That's interesting, I didn't know there was a connection between parasites and eye floaters. When I first experienced eye floaters in my life, I thought that the floaters were living microorganisms. Then I learned that it wasn't. I guess what you mean though is that parasites in other parts of the body can cause the health issues of the vitreous in the eye.

Re: Eye Floaters - Is there a cure?
CS I have done endless research on this after I began to get eye floaters. Have you actually witnessed someones floaters go away with supplements? From what I understand people that are myopic have a higher rate of floaters. The vitreous in my eye has started to become more liquid than gel like. Usually this is what happens when we age later in life but mine has started sooner.
I came to the conclusion that it was a waste of time after trying many different supplements but I would love to be wrong. One thing I do notice is that when my stress levels are higher I notice them more and sometimes I go the whole day without thinking or noticing them.
There is an eye doctor in Forth Worth TX Dr Johnson that has had a lot of success with YAG laser. However, usually only on older people because if you are younger floaters tend to reside too close to the retina. I went to him and he couldn't treat me. Anyway, there is a lot of research and trials being done on floaters. Some people have even gone the route of a floater only vitrectomy(FOV)
There is a positive trial that came out of Germany using gold nano particles and YAG that could be a cure within the next 5 years.

A supplement you can get at any drugstore called vita-lux has a special vit A in it that's supposed to keep the eyes healthy. But it warns you if you ever smoked there may be a cancer risk down the road becuz of this vit A in it. Still a worth a try tho.

Yes, lots of options to consider. Iodine also.
Sometimes it's also about correct removal of toxins, just depends on situation.
Note, the part about smoking and Vitamin A is garbage research that these "authorities" use.
They are also mentioning the wrong vitamin A anyway, which is beta carotene. All-Trans Retinoic Acid
or better known as animal form or retinol is just better.
I guess my point is that "the health industry" has been captured by the drug cartel so long ago, so
ingrained that academicians are just perpetuating loose theories with bad science.

Re: Eye Floaters - Is there a cure?
Is this something to be concerned about? https://iovs.arvojournals.org/article.aspx?articleid=2124743
Recently been adding to my regimen also serrapeptase and nattokinase, because in addition to it's other well known benefits, they might also reduce eye floaters. However this research paper seems like it can induce Posterior Vitreous Detachment.

If the context of this study is understood, this is a "benefit" as opposed to a type of surgery to create the same effect without risk of hemorrhage, retinal detachment, and resultant visual loss after vitreous surgeries.
Sixteen eyes were studied with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Nattokinase (1, 0.1, or 0.01 FU) or saline was injected into the vitreous cavity of four rabbit eyes per concentration.
We are not injecting this stuff into our eyes.

Re: Eye Floaters - Is there a cure?
Mike,
After throwing the kitchen sink at it and having no results, the best thing I did was work on radical acceptance of them. They will not harm you from doing anything you love. They will not make you go blind and are not a result of total eye health.
There should be some sort of procedural safe cure within the next 5-10 years. I have one thats always in my vision and has been slowly getting bigger. It use to stress me out 24/7 but now I just brush it off and go days without focusing on it. Worrying about it and constantly trying to research new treatments on the internet to cure it only adds to the anxiety that makes you notice them more.
I would try a few things that CS recommends and if it doesnt help then come to the realization that yours eyes are healthy but you will just have a few shadows here and there. Also you are definitely not alone. Once you start talking to other people you realize that a lot of people have them too but they are just better at ignoring them. I would say most of us on this forum are probably more hyper sensitive/aware to changes in our body.
