new hope for 2017?

Dr brotzu in italy was researching cardiovascular disease and came across by accident something that might grow hair. It's a combination lotion of equol and dihomo-gamma-linolenic-acid which is a precursor to pge1. Since there are no real drugs involved testing will be done earlier and it might be released in 2017. Sigh, if only we could be so lucky compared to all the other flops over the years.

Since I think one company might be selling equol (not sure who exactly) and this gamma-linolenic-acid can be found in borage oil supplements...then maybe we can make our own?

Circa 2004 I jumped all over the equol idea and tried many subsequent ways to generate, create it and observe others in experiments. There were problems. The whole DHT is just a small part of the picture.

Regarding sources of GLA, it's a good idea I think. So even though there is nothing "new" about GLA, it is an excellent supplement for those who prefer non-marine sources to deal with prostaglandins.

Black Currant Oil is my favorite because it provides a boost to libido (via Nitric Oxide) in addition to boosting the production of prostacyclin, and keeping away the inflammatory PGD2.
