groups buys for setipiprant and ru58841 myristate
on a private forum we are having group buys for setipiprant and ru58841 myristate
anyone following the news in hair science knows from reasearch published in 2012 that ptgds enzyme is upregulated in balding scalp, leading to greater concentrations of PGD2 which has a causal role in miniaturizing the hair.
well it turns out scientists have already been developing GPR44 receptor antagonists, and these are available for people to try as hair treatments. GPR44 is the receptor involved in mediating PGD2's effect on the hair in androgenetic alopecia. one such compound: setipiprant was recently selected by cotsarelis' team as the candidate molecule for treating alopecia. we will be able to get it produced for 340 per 25 grams. this amount would run you thousands from other chemical research companies. the promising thing is PGD2 receptor blocking shouldnt have the same sexual effects as propecia.
ru 58841 myristate is the prodrug of regular ru 58841. the addition of the lipid tail makes it more likely to be readily taken up where it is topically applied, thus minimizing the systemic effects that some men see with RU. we are getting this produced for 280 per 10 grams. that amount could last you a year. its a very cheap treatment.
i would not normally discuss the group buys for pharmacological compounds here but these two should not have the concerns associated with finasteride. you would not systemically altering your hormone levels with these compounds applied topically.

If pgd2 is concern, why not taking what suppresses niacin flush, aka krill oil?

DHT on the scalp is still the main nightmare of MPB suffering men.

Look, we don't absolutely know how integral PGD2 is to balding but we know it's strongly involved. Luis Garza—one of the main researchers behind the discovery of PGD2's effect on hair—surmised that the findings of prostaglandins in hair growth and hair disease was the most significant finding in hair science in the past three decades. These guys know something is up because they are moving fast at developing a treatment along this pathway. Other treatments in development have been moving slowly and not really produced the results (bim underperformed rogaine, histogen's results were mediocre... it could be that increasing the other Prostaglandins and growth factors simply wont overcome the overexpressed PGD2)
There are reasons to believe that PGD2 is a big culprit involved in directly miniaturizing the hair. They took mice which overexpressed PGD2 and their skin morphology was identical to androgenetic alopecia morphology, right down to the sebacious gland hyperplasia seen in the human being. They applied pure PGD2 to normal mice and it shrunk their hair as if it were miniaturizing it just like men with AGA. They also did these things with human scalp skin samples.
I am not going to summarize all the research involving PGD2 but I can assure you from experience that PGD2 inhibitors are safer than finasteride, RU 58841, and probably even cortexolone 17-alpha proprionate (CB 03 01) which many men were banking on as their side effect free antiandrogen.

Do you or anyone else know via what mechanism Krill oil exerts effect on the PGD2 pathway?
If I am not mistaken it somehow inhibits one of the cycloxegenase pathways. But this is why aspirin and other common COX inhibitors don't work—COX is upstream ptgds and is also responsible for producing other prostaglandins, some of which exert beneficial effects on hair. You don't want to unselectively block the production of prostaglandins.

register with the same user name you use here.
only register if you are interested in group buys and hair science. setipiprant and related compunds targetting the CRTh2 receptor topically is the wave of the future. RUM is still being discussed in scientific journals as a novel design which could have use in acne and AGA.
at this forum there is even a subforum for natural based approaches and substances, and anything supported by science is welcomed.
if you canvass for interest and numbers we could even get natural compounds such EGCG, taurine, equol and other vitamins and found in nature compounds that are beneficial for hair produced in the right quantities where they wont break your bank account and could actually affect your hair.
