Re: Pricing Issues
Dave228 - I'd say, Ecklonia Cava, Krill & Lipoic acid.
If you're under stress then Ecklonia Cava, Curcumin & Resveratrol.

Ecklonia Cava
CS (or anyone else) - I'm thinking about adding Ecklonia Cava, but am curious as to why you place so much faith in this? I've looked into it quite a bit and there seems to be limited research combined with heavy marketing, which is not usually a good combination. From what I can see, the body that carried out some of the research ('Allergy Research Group') also sell the product...again not usually a good thing.
I know you have an encyclopedic knowledge of all things hair loss, so what is the attraction to this particular product above the multitude of other (better researched) things out there? Thanks.

Re: Pricing Issues
ataman - I think EC is a big deal for lots of reasons. The link jdp710 posted is a good example of its versatility. None of this hype was around when I started taking it, I just look at the research.
The main reasons for the interest in it are its power and how long it protects tissues for. It's ability to inhibit MMP-1 and -9 is very strong and it will last for some 12 hours. It's structure traps so many free radicals compared to virtually any land based antioxidant. It's also fat soluble (40%) so it acts like a universal antioxidant and protects all over.
When you take a water soluble plant antioxidant, you're not getting full coverage and not nearly for long enough. It takes a fat soluble antioxidant in order to protect against Phospholipase A2 (PLA2). This is important because inhibiting this enzyme can prevent a cascade of inflammation exactly where it counts--the scalp.

Re: Pricing Issues
To be honest the part of your response that counts the most (for me) is that you started taking the stuff before all the hype. I'd actually read the springboard link - the problem I have/had is that most websites, that one included, seem to be reproducing basically the same benefits, in the same order. This list of benefits seem to come from a long paper published by the Allergy Research Group, who are one of the main suppliers of the product.
I'm sure I am overanalysing! Turning into a conspiracy theorist in my old age Thanks for the info.

Re: Pricing Issues
ataman - I almost forgot to mention another important reason why Eckonia Cava is important, actually two more reasons.
It's a powerful inhibitor of antiplasmin, which means it will keep the blood thin (lower blood viscosity) and break down fibrin.
The value of this cannot be underestimated. Also it has been observed to increase growth hormone levels, which are important to stimulate needed growth factors for hair generation.

Would EC also help promote height growth then?

Re: Pricing Issues
tooyoung - Without any data, I could not say for sure but it is theoretically possible say if one is deficient in growth hormone during the growing years, but whether it would help produce enough growth hormone to overcome this is another question.
Re: Pricing Issues
Yea, data for GH increases via EC is pretty scarce unfortunately.
Well, lund, your reply--very true, lmao.

Re: Pricing Issues
Well,i 've been on Doctor's Best EC for the past months and unfortunately didn't notice any difference neither in sleep nor in skin and hair quality.
Since i started supplementing with the top 6+ Curc-resv ,some 5-6 months ago my hair count deteriorated so much...
CS,is there a point in trying Nutricology EC or I should drop Ecklonia Cava altogether. It seems it doesn't do absolutely anything for me

Re: Pricing Issues
edony - I second Jdp710. I would flat out suggest to avoid doctor's best for Fibroboost. Only use Nutricology, I think I will put this warning on the site.
Re: Pricing Issues
Thanks both of you ,
I was aware of the post mentioned above regarding the switch to nutricology.
I m just a bit sceptic whether it's worth anymore the $30 for a month supply.
I doubt how much better the Nutricology EC could be to make me keep spending so much for another 5-6 months to verify its effect.
CS. i know you are such a believer in EC but for me it has done nothing.I consider it useless,at least the Doctor's Best brand.Normally I should have seen sthing by now...
