Nose vs Mouthbreather
just curious...which way do you breathe most of the time? cause i have a feeling like there´s getting a lot more oxygen to the head if breathing through my nose.
also: are you a person with a very vivid mimic or do you wear a frozen/rigid face most of the day?
and pls add your NW level

Mouth-breathing is a bad habit, not conducive to good health.

Thank you for reminding me to breath through my nose.
To answer your questions, usually through my nose, but most of my life it was through my mouth. And a rigid face.

i read from mercola i think that these are a sign of some kind of fungal issue is you can't breathe through your nose and it's blocked up.. not sure though on the truth behind this. it's somewhere to start looking around though.

fFor starters, using sound recorder and check the noises you produce during the sleep will help you get know your sleep habits a bit. There are also other ways, including EEG as the most accurate measurement for studying depth of sleep with recognizing sleep stages. However, most of the sleep problems are noticed easier. This app could serve good:

There are options also for android users:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=si.sis.sleeprecorderfree
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.madinsweden.sleeptalk&hl=sl
Remember to put phone in ''airplane mode'', while using it at night...
I wouldn't use camera as i wouldnt want to sleep in place that's not fully dark. But yes, GoPro or even Webcam are options here as well for monitoring positions and activity...
I wonder if this will be easy hackable in the purpose of sleep analysis:

Re: Nose vs Mouthbreather
Beebrox,
Awesome advice, and thanks for the app recommendations.
I think everyone having any kind of difficult to diagnose health issues should check their sleep, and an easy first step is to just record yourself. I've always been a laggard with new technology so when I picture recording myself sleeping, I still think of setting up a tripod camera haha. But these really would make it easier.
Nose breathing is optimal. There is a lot of talk about whether deep/shallow breathing is an issue, when it really isn't.
The reason I always emphasize the sleep thing is because almost all of us have some degree of apnea. I think if more people realized that, and that the more problematic apnea is just an exaggerated form of something we all have, more people would be concerned about checking out their sleep patterns.
I nose breath exclusively while awake. During REM sleep I breathe through the mouth and have quite a few episodes of apnea...currently being treated with CPAP.
Not sure about the relevance of the face question, but I generally have a stoic face most of the day. My face isn't usually the most expressive part of me. My voice tends to be the dynamic part of my communication. People have told me I come off as an asshole to new people sometimes because when I joke, my face won't change, so people think I'm being serious when I'm totally joking. I've got to be conscious of it. I also don't smile too often, so with this shaved dome, I can come off as "harder" than I'd like to sometimes. My hair loss was diffuse with no distinguishable norwood progression.
